There was an error on the specially printed lino flooring when it arrived a week before the show opened.
The company I’d ordered it from acknowledged the mistake, printed it again, and a member of their team drove overnight from London to Aberdeen with the roll of lino in his car. Early on Saturday morning, he delivered it to a transport company who put it on the ferry. The boss of Shetland Transport in Lerwick delivered it to me personally on Sunday afternoon.
The show opened on Monday and I’m very grateful to Sophie, Kirsty and Sharon at LeMark, Dave for driving all that way, and Hamish and Ali at Shetland Transport for their extraordinary efforts to deliver the flooring on time.
