About the project

residency, 17 ­ 29 september 2007

Seven years after the ‘harmony’ residency, I was asked to return to Inverie Primary School for a ten day residency. All the pupils I had originally worked with had by now graduated to secondary school.

The residency was distinct from the previous one, but it was inspired by it and explored similar themes. Pupils created three dimensional containers which ‘held’ their thoughts and feelings about the place in which they lived. The project culminated in an exhibition in the village hall.

The project was supported by the school and Knoydart Arts Promotions.
