‘if it has a lid, it’s a box’ (Laura)

A miniature exhibition curated with artist Kristi Tait, in partnership with Laura, a lady living with dementia. Over many years, 80-year-old Laura gathered together a unique collection of over 1000 tiny trinket boxes, some given, some bought. ‘peerie boxes’ was the first time the boxes had been shown outside Laura’s home. The exhibition was in a tiny studio space in the Lodberries, the oldest part of Lerwick.

The exhibition was funded through Alzheimer Scotland and Luminate, Scotland’s creative ageing festival.
